“The Christmas Fix” by Lucy Score is a fun Christmas season romance featuring an enemies-to-lovers troupe.  Catalina King is a reality TV star with her fixer-upper show.  It’s late October, and a hurricane is about to land in Merry Connecticut.  Catalina or Cat as she is known is anxious about a family whose house she renovated on TV a few years earlier looks to be in danger.  Cat wants to help the town and its people but has to convince the network that a show about the reconstruction of the town is ratings gold.  One big obstacle is the town city planner who doesn’t like her or reality TV and has refused her help in any way.  Can she convince the network and “Mr. No” that she can help?  This is a super fast read with a great storyline.  All of the characters are lovable and you want the best for them in the end. This book is a great Christmas read.

Classic Lucy Score. It was fun to read about a side character from Mr. Fixer Upper with some Christmas vibes sprinkled in.

This was such a cute christmas read! I did like the brothers book “Mr Fixer Upper” better but this was still very cute and entertaining☺️

The Christmas Fix’ initially charmed me with its classic Hallmark movie feel. The festive setting and the initial portrayal of Noah as a sweet and innocent character created a warm and cozy atmosphere.
However, the abrupt shift to explicit content felt jarring and disrupted the overall tone of the story. It almost felt like reading two completely different books.
Despite this, the romance had its moments, and the underlying message of finding love and joy during the holiday season still resonated.
Overall, ‘The Christmas Fix’ offers a decent blend of holiday cheer and romance, but the abrupt change in tone unfortunately detracts from the overall reading experience."

A total Hallmark movie on the page. Checks a few romance novel boxes: enemies-to-lovers, hot single dad, etc. A lot of tropes, let’s be honest, but that’s okay! Just what I needed to wrap up book club for the year - an easy, cheesy holiday read. It was my first Lucy Score so I knew it would be very “open door,” but I wasn’t a huge fan of the writing in general. Needing editing. Could’ve been a good 50 pages shorter.
