7/10 - Merritt Fernsby inherits a haunted house. Hulda Larkin works as a Keeper of Enchanted Rooms and is sent to help Merritt untangle the houses secrets.
As I was reading, the word whimsical kept coming to mind. This has been such a refreshing read, and the back story for the types of magic I found particularly interesting.
There is a section (about 50-70%) where the book is a little slow, otherwise this would be a 5 star.
I loved the gentle romance in this too. It’s very much a sub-plot but it was beautiful.
