Enjoyed this! Not too heavy and the characters are quaint.
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Hello! This is on my DNF.

This might surprising but this book is actually really good. It has a lot going for it (interesting lore, magic, romance, time period, etc) that make it a really awesome read. Despite what I’ve said, I haven’t finished it.

Truthfully, there is a huge market for magical literature right now and while this checked a lot of boxes for me it just didn’t keep my attention. That being said, there are possibility I might try again in the future.

You should still give this book a shot. I think a lot of people would be impressed with it.

I received a copy of Keeper of Enchanted Rooms via NetGalley to read and review.

I was curious about Silas’ role since we start out with his story but then there’s a different storyline in America but there’s a good reason for that. I’m glad I got a copy from NetGalley and will be reading the next book in the series!

Interesting premise—magic sucking serial killer was unexpected! Cozy but also dark?? In Victorian Rhode Island? Such a unique read! Minor personal preference: miscommunication romance trope used at the end 🙄, but was resolved well and not terribly drawn out!

A cozy read. The magic system is easy, the house is a fun character, and the villain is interesting. Always annoyed when love interests suffer from lack of communication, but at least I was rooting for them. I’ll continue the series just for fun.
