loathesome. the main character is so silly and self-absorbed that you cannot root for her at all. and then after 472 pages, it ends with a cliffhanger, setting up a sequel and resolving nothing. UGH.
ARGH. Cliffhanger. I would have waited for the second part if I'd known.
The cliffhanger was a surprise, I'm used to these stories wrapping up nicely. I actually thought maybe I hadn't downloaded the whole story...I'm sure I'll listen to the next story, too, but I'm not looking forward to it like I used to.
I love Becky and her crazy ideas. This wasn't the funniest of the books but her adventures and dreams in Hollywood were exciting and left you in a cliffhanger for the next book.
What a major disappointment and to leave the readers hanging in the middle of the story is so disgusting, all Sophie Kinsella seems to care about is selling more books but with the lack of story quality she is going to end up losing all her loyal readers, including me!
:/ I read this because it's part of the Shopaholic series. I tried to overlook how frustrated I was becoming with the continual miscommunications and recycling of the same old issues. I stayed up late just to finish it... And was really disappointed when instead of resolution there's a "to be continued" picture. Seriously?!?
I've really loved the other shopaholic books. This one didn't stand up. It kind of reminded me of the latest Bridget Jones book, although not nearly as bad. This was a book that did not need to be written. It is time to say goodbye to Becky. If you really miss her, re read the first or second one.
Meh... it was nice to turn my brain off for a bit... but finally at the end of the book I was interested in the plot. So of course, the book ended with an f'n cliff-hanger. WTF? Not cool. Doubt I'll read the next one.
