I love the series but I was definitely let down a bit by this book. I had read the first 5 back-to-back and the 6th shortly after. So I imagine the time gap had a bit to do with it because I remembered very little from the previous books. I felt Becky was even more self-centered and thoughtless than usual. And that ending, very abrupt, basically a cliffhanger! I don't read chick-lit for cliffhangers, I expect things to be decently wrapped up not ending in what feels like the middle of a chapter. I will read the next book (because there has to be one) but I really hope its the last.
Becky and the whole crew temporarily move to Los Angeles. Luke has a new client, and she is demanding all his time. Becky is taking the time to make it as a stylist to the stars, and Suze can't let her do it alone! This was a slow train wreck. Both Suze and Becky were testing my patience in this one. Their discord was maddening, and for me, it did nothing for the story. The best part of the whole read was the cliffhanger ending. Now, of course, I must read the next book. I have lost all hope that Becky will ever grow into a worthwhile character.

Durrr! A cliffhanger?! These books stress me out so much! The only way I can get through them is knowing Becky will have it all put back together by the last page!
it's the same antics... although it will be interesting then it ends... and I am thinking how becky so very lucky to have luke...
This was a bit all over the place for me and the story was a bit to drawn out. Probably could have used 100 less pages. Least favorite kinsella book.

This was an enjoyable read. This is my fourteenth Sophie Kinsella story, and seventh book of the Shopaholic series. I enjoyed every minute of it. The humor in her stories makes the book more enjoyable. I lived Becky. She is a silly, yet lovable main female character. However, it is interesting to see the change in her, at least in this book. Luke is an amazing male character. He may be an entrepreneur, but I love how he is able to love Becky even though she has her flaws and quirks.
I really enjoyed this book. I really love being in Becky's world. In this book, she gets caught up in the Hollywood scene. Also, I think she lost a bit of who she was because of that. She was shallow, and less lovable. I think Luke should have seen this coming as he knows her personality. However, I think she had the ability to redeem herself in the next book. I did not mind the cliffhanger, as it made me think of a road trip since they have to look for Tarkie and her dad. Can't wait for Shopaholic to the Rescue. Overall, a great read.
