Were you even freaking kidding me with the end of this book?!

This series just needs to end. The things that were amusing about Becky in the beginning are now just annoying. I don't feel like she has grown as a person at all.

I should preface this by saying I love Sophie Kinsella's first four non-Shopaholic books--when I've had a bad day I can go have a glass of wine, open one up, and it always lightens my mood. But her fifth of those wasn't as good as the first four, and the sixth was awful, shades of Madeleine Wickham. I enjoy the Shopaholic books more than the Wickham books, but less than the other Kinsella books. This book wasn't very good. Becky was irritatingly selfish and the book's ending was a cliffhanger. So now I have to wait, what, two years to find out what happens? I hope the author realizes I won't care what happens in about a week, so doing this isn't going to drive me to pick up the next book in the series.

Another great read fro Sophie Kinsella in the Shopaholic series. Becky, Luke, and Minnie are off to Hollywood for Luke's PR assignment. It may only be short term but Becky is ready to embrace everything to do with celebrities including getting Minnie in to the most exclusive preschool and Becky jumping head first in to the world of celebrities. If only Luke will introduce her. This book is full of more of Becky's hilarious choices. At some times I did feel like her choices were a little more selfish than I'm used to, but overall I enjoyed the laughter, the heart, and Becky's quick thinking mind that helped save the day. The reader is left on a little bit of a cliffhanger so be prepared with the next in the series before you dive in with this one. Good read!

Fun! Yes, the books are completely out there but they are just fun, quick reads and a great way to escape a cold NJ winter day.

Selfish

How does Becky have amazing friends, a devoted husband and loving parents? She’s the absolute worst. They should all send her selfish a** packing.

The beginning starts as most of the books do, Becky spends too much money and justifies it. However, I really enjoyed it and she left it open for an eighth book. Now I have to wait!!

3.5

Not my first Sophie Kinsella book but my first shopaholic book. It was very silly and Becky was very annoying but as a lighthearted read it was okay.

Yes I enjoyed it, sadly I only laughed two times. But I enjoyed it, it was light, sort of funny, and I could read it fast. And now I have to tear the book apart.

Omg people! You call yourself friends?! Please some stage a real intervention and pack Becky off to rehab!!! If it was drugs she would be hooking in the streets by now. The poor girl needs help. Not just a stern look or a headshake, silly Becky spent too much money again. Omg the girl needs help!!! And she making her kid like her too, which we saw in an earlier book. This is horrible really.

REHAB!!!!!!!!!

Why Luke stays with her, god only knows. Seriously the stunts she pulls. I would be out of there. She can not change. He "tries" to help, try for real and put her in rehab. Or leave her.

The book were amusing at one point, but these last few, no. There comes a time when I only see the bad things. When the laughs die. Let the series end now, and get the woman some help.
