The writing is so good!!
May Cobb's writing style is one of my favs, but the story didn't totally satisfy me. I loved this book and it was a quick read, but I'm finding out that I'm maybe a picky thriller girl? Or I'm not picking great ones? This might be due to the high volume of horror and thriller movies I watched when I was younger...
Anyways, I'd recommend solely on the writing style. Very enjoyable read!

I feel that I had to give a book that I read so quickly at least 4 stars. Was it inspiring, did it change my perspective on life? No. But, the short chapters and little cliff hangers kept me invested til the end. The descriptions of women's bodies and the various alcohols they consumed was probably a third of the book which was maybe a bit much, but it was fun.

All of the characters were unlikeable as hell, but I couldn’t put this down!

I've never felt like I needed to like everyone in a book, or really even anyone in a book, to like a book.
I think there is a way to make unlikable characters and still make an enjoyable book. This is not that book for me.
I just fucking hated everyone and I rooted for none of them. They're just the worst fucking people. These are the most entitled, selfish, intolerable characters I've ever encountered. If there was a scene where one shares an antidote about calling the cops on a group of BIPOC characters at a BBQ, I would not have been surprised. If anything, I surprised it didn't happen
