3.5 stars, it was a little slow at times but the ending was much more fast-paced. Overall a very interesting book!

Best part of the book was the cover.

I give up. I can't read this book. There should be an option on here for "could only get halfway through" so that way people who can't force themselves through a book can acknowledge they tried without having to say they've read the whole gosh darned thing.

Dreck filled with plot holes.

I honestly didn't think I'd like this book but I really did!

It was very The Breakfast Club meets Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and it worked really well. The writing was really beautiful and the characters worked great together. They absolutely went deeper than their stereotypes and really pushed the story along.

The plot did drag a little bit in the middle but there were quite a few surprises I was not expecting. It ended in a way that may not be completely satisfying but perfectly fit the tone of the story.

Not the quickest I'd ever stopped a book, but the writing style was nothing short of atrocious off the bat.

if you told me this was written by an 18 year old film student who idolized Tarantino and called women “females” i’d believe you

I'm mixed on my feelings over this one. I like the premise of the story - an asteroid is spotted heading towards earth and there's a 66.6% chance that it's going to collide with the planet and kill everyone. I like how character driven it is - four "stereotypical" teens who all happen to be connected with each other are the four narrators of the story. And I liked the plot. However, our four narrators didn't quite feel like authentic teenagers to me (maybe that's something where I'm the issue? Teens are so much deeper and worldly than I'm giving them credit for? ...probably not). And for a novel that is completely centered in existentialism and becoming your authentic self, it didn't seem like there was much character development. I enjoyed reading it, it made me think and feel, but I don't feel a need to pick it back up again.
