Meh. At least a third of this book was him being an ass and them not talking about their problems like actual adults. Then the novel is just so damn slow. It’s like it’s three novels being stretched out to five.

Another really great first book followed by the second where they get together, completely change their personalities, and are no longer interesting.

I enjoyed this book much more than the first one. There will be action, romance, and of course some smut. This book is ended with HEA. And I’m already curious about the next book.

The story of Evangeline and Declan continues. While Evangeline tried to learn her fae side, Declan insisted to shield her from anything necessary. Argument after argument managed to make them frustrated with each other.

Declan’s court was not shy to show her that she wasn’t welcomed. Death threats loomed after her. In able to convince herself and others, she tried to find the culprit by herself. Unfortunately Evangeline’s recklessness managed to drive herself into danger. And Declan felt betrayed that Evangeline didn’t disclose any information to him.

We get to see how much they love and willing to fight for each other. The author’s done a great job bringing me to feel the characters’ emotions.

I have to say that there were times when I wanted to shake Evangeline because she was just so ‘naive’ — in the sense that she couldn’t make a hard decision and punished someone accordingly. I’m not surprised thought, considering she forgave Stefan in the blink of an eye on the first book.

On the other hand, Declan was quite an ass about shielding her from anything. He treated her as if she was a fragile little flower. However, I understand the terror of losing someone you love — which he had endured on the first book. So I couldn’t really be mad at him.

If you enjoy reading the first book, you should definitely read this one.

I don’t know how Hollee does it. I can’t remember the last time I was this enthralled and emotionally invested in a series. I’ve read the first 3 books in the span of 2 days and I’m dreading reading the last one because then it will all be over.
