Sorely disappointed. Either Palahniuk is writing differently, I'm getting older, or both. Regardless, Snuff is more in line with his more recent efforts - Diary, Rant, Haunted - than his earlier work. The writing was terse and intriguing enough to keep moving forward, as are the dozens of hilariously pun-y porn titles. But the surprises are tame, the situations are boring, and the ending is silly. I will keep my eyes out for his next book, but wearily.
In this fast paced novel, we are guided through almost too claustrophobic circumstances by four characters who take part in a record-breaking gang bang porn video which is believed to become a snuff movie.
Palahniuk confronts us with uncomfortably, disgustingly dressed up story which ultimately is just, for a lack of better words, heartwarming and adorable.

At first I couldn't get into it. Never read Palahniuk before, but he is often recommended. So I skipped to the end and read the last few chapters to see what I was missing out on. Intrigued, I went back to the front and read through. Pretty effed up story, but it turned out to be an interesting read.

Uf, qué durillo. Palahniuk escribe de maravilla y la traducción es fabulosa, pero la historia me ha resultado simplona y de escaso interés. El concepto inicial tampoco era muy prometedor, pero confiaba en que el autor se superase. Lástima.
