I'm absolutely for having more aspec books to choose from, but this was just very confused - half an overly detailed memoir of the two authors' life stories (not sure including the entire family tree of one of them contributes something to the project) with a few other aspecs' anecdotes thrown in, and half a lukewarm attempt at aspec 101 that is written for someone to whom the authors need to explain what a lens is, and which is full of redundant repetitions and constant reassurances that "of course this does not mean that we think [allos are just sex-obsessed maniacs]". I'm not saying podcast hosts can't be good book writers, just that maybe rethinking whether the content of the podcast lends itself to a book format should be considered first.

A solid primer and a good book to exist. Written to an a-spec reader, but not exclusively.

Light-hearted, casual, and I’m now curious about the show. Each chapter includes a link to a “behind the scenes” podcast discussion.
