If you have listened to their podcast, the writing style feels similar to this. I do not read a ton of non-fiction, but the personal experience skews the focus as both authors are white cisgender females (which they clearly state). I did appreciate outside input/submissions. This felt a bit like a grab bag and I would have liked more focus.

I'm seeing a few reviews referencing JK R and HP; there is one sentence in the final chapter, subsection on media. While I do not know if this was the best use of choosing what you keep/discard when an artist is clearly problematic, I'm not sure I would steer you away strictly for that. If you still opt to read, the index cites the page this is on.

DID NOT FINISH: 13%

I didn't really like the writing style, and found the podcast episodes at the end of each chapter distracting. Judging from reviews and reading through the first chapter, it seems like I'm already familiar with a lot of what the authors would have covered.
