Rainbow Rowell

Loved this book! It was so fresh, and unique, sweet and super romantic! This was just what I needed to read on a dull, rainy Sunday.

I loved the exchange between Beth & Jennifer. I also loved that Lincoln fell for Beth just by her words. So romantic.

It took me about 100 pages to really get into this book but once I did I really enjoyed myself. It was super cute and I loved all of the characters, Lincoln, Beth, and Jennifer were all wonderfully quirky and awkward. I enjoyed this one quite a bit more than fangirl. I really want a movie now. This would make the best chick-flick. Solid four stars!

Hmmm….. I honestly don't know what to think about Attachments. It was okay I guess. I don't seem to have very strong feelings about it one way or the other. It could have been so much more. The writing was good, but the story itself was a bit dull to me.
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Many problematic elements to this book:
-Woman desperately does NOT want kids and is basically forced into having one in order to "save" her marriage.
-White boys decide to name their band Sacajawea
-Use of the "R" word
-Several man childs being coddled by women

Meh. Mixed feelings on this one because I thought the pacing was a bit slow but the story was still very... readable? My biggest complaint is that
Spoiler the characters didn't meet until the last eleven pages. I expected them to have interactions with each other much sooner. Instead of a romance, this felt more like a slice of life type of book.
