Hmmm….. I honestly don't know what to think about Attachments. It was okay I guess. I don't seem to have very strong feelings about it one way or the other. It could have been so much more. The writing was good, but the story itself was a bit dull to me.

Many problematic elements to this book:
-Woman desperately does NOT want kids and is basically forced into having one in order to "save" her marriage.
-White boys decide to name their band Sacajawea
-Use of the "R" word
-Several man childs being coddled by women

Meh. Mixed feelings on this one because I thought the pacing was a bit slow but the story was still very... readable? My biggest complaint is that

the characters didn't meet until the last eleven pages. I expected them to have interactions with each other much sooner. Instead of a romance, this felt more like a slice of life type of book.

It was a bit slow at first for me. I also feel like the love story was a bit rushed while also being slow. I just didn't find it believable that they'd have feelings for each other so strongly by the end without ever having one conversation.I might give this another go when I'm feeling less cynical. On the other hand I did love the chracthers.
All I can say is that this is one of the books that you finish with a smile. I really enjoyed reading it and it is so funny. Well done!
