Dirty Playboy by Alex Wolf, Sloane Howell

Rick may not wear a suit, but he is as much a playboy as the Collins brothers! He has moved past his painful childhood and recreated himself into the best PI around and goes through women like water. The day Mary comes to work for the firm changes his life. His sole mission is to make Mary like him and get a date, because he always gets what he wants and he wants Mary. Mary comes off as the super conservative straitlaced woman from Texas with no time for men. She is fine with that, until Rick begins to break through her walls little by little. I have always wanted Rick's story and theirs is a wild ride - pun intended! Loved this one!!!

Every time the latest Chicago suits book by Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf I fall in love with each story.

This is the story of Rick, the arrogant, womanizing playboy private investigator and Mary, the highly religious, innocent paralegal.
I loved this story so much.  First of all,  Rick was hiding something and it was constantly being dangled throughout the story like a delicious carrot.
I felt that the chemistry between the characters was well matched and had a very smooth and believable progression.

I highly recommend this story.  The books in this series can all be read as stand alone novels, however, there will be spoilers of the couples in novels past.

Dirty Playboy is the sixth book in the Cocky Suits Chicago Series. Playboy Rick has been trying to wear down good girl Mary and when he finally does, his past comes back to haunt him. I loved this story!!

Well this book had Sloane Howell’s personality all over it. Five amazing hawt stars!

What did I like? Rick was an A type personality with an amazing memory. The way he drew Mary in was off the freaking charts. Wine...dine... Mary is mine. Loved the references to fellow author Helena Huntings...Pucked series. Also love the Pretty Woman movie references.... so fabulous. This book made me chuckle... the way Mary just tried to keep away from Rick. Such a sweet and swoon romance.

Would I buy or recommend? I loved this one but still love possessive playboy more....sorry. This is a great five stars series that just make you laugh and want to get sexy. Finally we get Rick and Mary’s story.... so grateful that Mary is not quite the Bible thumper she was made out to be.

Thoughts for the authors? Kudos guys...you did great by Mary and Rick. There story was phenomenal. You put a spin on that story that I have never read before. Five stars guys. Great stuff.

Best one yet! Don't get me wrong, I've loved every couple in this series, and by this point, I fully expect Wolf and Howell to bring their A-games - but this time they went above and beyond. I've liked Rick from his first appearance in the series, and I've been waiting for this book since he got Mary in his sights.
Now, here's where I have to be careful not to venture into spoiler territory because there are some great twists here as we learn about Rick's past. I knew it was bound to be interesting, and I've been waiting to learn more about the cocky PI, but wow. That wasn't what I expected. It's terrific, but so not what I saw coming.
As I've mentioned with every couple, the chemistry is always terrific, so I expected the same for Rick and Mary. Let me tell ya, Mary may be on the innocent side, but she certainly has a vixen inside her. And when these two get going, they're hot enough to set your Kindle on fire.
This has been a series of alpha males and the strong women who make them want to be better versions of themselves, but none so much as Rick and Mary. She's so much stronger than she realizes, and I love that he wasn't changing just to win her over. It kind of felt like it started that way, but the more I learned about Rick, the more it felt like he wanted to be a better man to deserve Mary and not just as a means to an end.
So, we get a fun story with secrets to learn, a couple that generates loads of feels and enough steam for a sauna, some catch-up time with past favorites, and it all comes together for one unputdownable read. I don't know which character is next to find out he's not as invincible to love as he thinks he is, but I will say this - Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell have outdone themselves with Rick and Mary, and they've set the bar pretty high for whatever comes next.

ARC received for an honest review

I have been looking forward to Rick's story as this series has progressed.

And whilst I liked it, I didn't like it as much as the previous books.

And I hated that I had to type that.

I liked Rick and Mary's story ARC, however there were things that I didn't like.

I like that there is the thrill in the chase, and the cat and mouse game. But it just seemed to keep on going on, over and over. However, that was the least of my problems

And my problem is going to be mine and won't bother anyone else probably.

I am an athiest, and all the God and church stuff would normally make this a DNF story for me, but I kept going as I was keen to know how their tale would end. I just skipped all the church scenes.

I liked the changes we see in both Rick and Mary I liked seeing the couples from the previous books - I will always want more of that.

Will this stop me reading more from this series or this duo? Not at all. This book was the odd one out for me with this series, as up to here, I had found that I was liking each installment more.

Can't wait to see what Wolf/Howell bring us next.

4.5 stars...I was completely torn on how many stars to give! I don't truly believe for me that it was a five star but it was definitely not only worth four stars!
Rick has never been my favorite character since the beginning and I did not believe that he was redeemable in any way but I love to be proved wrong! I cannot give anything away but there are reasons that Rick is the way that he is. Mary was another one for me that I thought would never unwind and be interesting but never judge a book by its cover! When these two get together it is explosive and some of the hottest scenes I have read in this series! Whoa! Their story is hot, steamy, and will absolutely make you swoon! You must read this book!
