Decent thriller that keeps you engaged. I think The Poet was a little better but both books were entertaining enough.

A fun-to-read "whodunnit". Lacking a little in terms of finesse and depth of the characters, but still an enjoyable read if you like crime stories.

Jack McEvoy and Rachel Walling reunite in this nicely done thriller. While not my favorite type of plot, Connelly is such a pro that I found it enjoyable. Listened to the audio which was read by Peter Giles who did an adequate job.
Another excellent novel by Michael Connelly! I really enjoy all of this books and this novel, the second in the Jack McEvoy series, is no exception. Even though you know who the killer is from the start of the novel it doesn't diminish the excitement or suspense of the novel. I also enjoyed the commentary on the changing face of the newspaper reporter; Jack McEvoy is the same journalist from Connelly's The Poet and to see the different way that he has to approach a story in the two novels in really interesting, both in fiction and in reality.
A good change of pace from Connelly's famous detective and lawyer characters -- although my opinion may be a bit biased as I am a journalist.

Well written, interesting plot and characters, fantastic audio reader. The only thing I found annoying was how the author did emails. I didn't need to know the entire address of both parties each time an email was sent or received.
Listening to audiobook on commute to and from work. Excellent so far.
This turned out to be an excellent book. I must read/listen to more by this author!

After reading the entire "Lincoln Lawyer" series I thought I'd give another Michael Connelly novel a try. This book was outstanding. The characters are well developed and the plot just kept me wanting to read more and more. It is interesting how characters and allusions from other works are woven into the story. I found myself thinking that I had the story figured out, but in Connelly fashion, there were surprises and twists. Read it, you won't regret it.
