This isn’t my cup of tea. I wanted to quit but had to find out what happened to Vivi. By the time I found out, I didn’t care anymore. The flashbacks and the endless exposition really reduce the momentum of the book. When something tragic happens in the first twenty pages, the last thing I want to read are endless descriptions of characters, re-telling of stories over and over again and then wrapping it all up in a bow at the end. Not a fan of this. I enjoyed one of her other books but this one was definitely not for me.

Liked this concept a lot. Cool way to think about grief and death. Love Elin

A famous author, Nantucket summer, a hit and run, family drama but Elin Hilderbrand’s books always take a winding path to a satisfying end.

Wasn't too sure about the ghost / after-life being, but naming her Martha helped me come around!

It's fun to watch Elin's novels grow. 28 Summers and this were fantastic! This one kept building and getting better which is hard to come by. I cried at the end; not happy or sad, but in awe of life's complexities. Well done!

Excellent, loved the visits to past characters and loved the story. I finished it with good tears in my eyes.

Not my favorite book by Elin, but it was good…somewhat predictable, but a nice, light read.
