I was suspicious that the theme was that it was ok to lie to someone if everything works out in the end. While that was true in Vivi's case it wasn't and was a much better message.

I wish we could give half stars. 7/10

Very thought provoking. Unlike other books I've read; don't typically read books like this. But, I enjoyed it. I guessed whodunit maybe 1/3 the way thru but didn't guess why/how. Read like a soap opera. So much drama unfolding. There was always something going on. That's probably why I liked it so much.

I love Elin Hilderbrand! Her books are so wonderful! This one was one of my favorites! It’s a must-read!!

Amazing page turner well written and I couldn’t put it down. Love the in between life-death and how the main character was able to watch over her loved ones for a small
period of time. Best part is when she knows she can meet a family member who’s death broke her heart.

Wow. That was so good. I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would. This was such a unique original story. The plot line was mysterious, dramatic, heart breaking and warming. I love the nudges and I love that she was able to watch over them. Willa got her baby. Carson is gonna finally relax. And Leo. Omg Leo. I was so happy when the picture was of Leo and Cruz. I was not expecting that but I was so happy. And fuckkkkk Marissa what a fucking bitch ass like Fr??? But no this was so good.

This is my second Elin Hilderbrand book and it was leaps and bounds better than 27 Summers. But with that said, it still had its issues. In particular I detested Carson’s character and the constant coddling of her just because she was beautiful. Amy seemed like a dolt and I didn’t care about her perspective. Instead, I would have liked to see Savannah’s perspective. I also wished Hilderbrand either would have dropped the quasi racism storyline or explored it more instead of tiptoeing around it. I also hated that Nantucket had a perspective; it seemed like an odd choice.

This is definitely a shallow beach read in that there are no real surprises and the characters are shallow. It’s very obvious who killed Vivi and what the picture is of with Leo. But regardless, something about this book was vaguely charming.

Love Elin! She never disappoints. What a fun read to finish out the year.

Stayed up till almost 4am to finish it. Elin is one of my favourite authors. Makes me wish she could write twice as fast so I could read more of her new books.

This book was a bit different but I always love a good beach read. Spoiler alert, it touched a little bit on a current issue however I would have liked to see a lot more rage and disapproval about racism.
