I always enjoy Jessica Day George’s work and especially love that much of it is based in fairytales/folklore/mythology from around the world. This was a fun read and now I want to visit Romania and read Dracula.

I probably wasn't supposed to find this book nearly as hilarious as I did.

It's rarely this dull when it comes to Dracula, but then, he himself wasn't present anyway. I can only give this book 3 out of 5, due to too same sense as Caraval, but with actual shifters.

The two heroines reminded me a lot of SORCERY & CECILIA, which I adore. Also, the Romanian details were excellent! I love this book muchly.

This novel reminded me how much I want to read the original Dracula. I was pulled into the story and did not find it very predictable (except for some of the love stories). I'd be interested in a sequel and feel the author left the story open enough for one.

One of the best werewolf/vampire books I have read in a long time

2.5 stars. A bit disappointed in this, hoped to enjoy it much more. Had some decent parts in it, where it was quite entertaining but they where short and far between.

Once again, Jessica Day George has written a book for me to enthuse over! I LOVE her fairytale retellings, so when I foudn this one, I just had to read it. And oh my goodness, was this book a wild ride! The quaint, nineteenth century feel, as well as vampires and werewolves, and everyone being in Transylvania makes Silver In The Blood both interesting and fascinating. This a great book to read during the Halloween season.
The only downside to the book was how it ended. And the fact that there isn't another one! Other than that, it's amazing and I recommend anyone who enjoys vampire stories, or just plain fun books. Or, just everybody.
