This book was sometimes too much (random putrid information that I'm sure some of us didn't want to know, but I guess it does show Geraldines insanity and what we are in for) and I kind of agree with others about the language and metaphor stuff. However, I actually liked some of the characters and were rooting for them. I loved the playground sections and the RULES. So yeah, I think it was a pretty good book that showed a "what if" scenario.

So I’m redoing this review because honestly I think this book deserves to be discussed,
In the past two weeks I’ve read 3 books I’ve found through disturbing book icebergs, and this book was by far both the least disturbing and most infuriating. This book feels like it was written by an edgy 15 year old who only knows how to write characters in two ways, they are either nice and good and they live or they are annoying and horrible and bratty and they die. Those are the two types of characters, The main antagonist is the main example of this, Geraldine hates kids because she can’t get pregnant, and you know she’s evil because she wants to be suffocated by her mom’s butt, doesn’t wash her vagina with soap (what the hell is the author talking about), and is a pedophile, and as such we are supposed to celebrate when she dies.
But because no characters you actually care for get hurt it doesn’t really matter, additionally what is the point of the whole Geraldine wants to eat her mom’s shit or whatever, like what did that add. This entire book feels like the author is trying so hard to be disturbing it becomes nearly comical, like why are you writing a story about a girl eating her moms shit while pulling the padge, are you just a fucking creep or just a lazy hack.
Don’t read this novel unless you like boring novels about children dying in excruciating detail to the point it becomes nearly comical

This was a quick read, super gory, not for the faint of heart (or honestly those who sheer away from anything child related). It was incredibly descriptive, with a few lines regarding an adults attraction to a child. However, i was in need for a good splatterpunk gross horrific quick read since the one i chose for the halloween season didnt give me that type of off-feeling. This book absolutely did that for me LOL. Not a 5 star as of course this isnt a life changing book of course, i dont think it was intended to be anyway LOL, its a fantastic read for the splatterpunk junkie, who wants some gruesome quick reads, this will do it for you!
