….. I knew I was signing up for child murders, that wasn’t even the worst part of this book. What I didn’t know is that I was also signing up for detailed descriptions of this old hags vag and it’s smell

It was kind of hard to visualize the playground and keep track of who was related to who but it was pretty good

I finally caved and picked up Playground after seeing it constantly pop up on my feed—and wow, this one is not for the faint of heart. The premise is deceptively simple: three low-income families are lured to the remote cliffside estate of Geraldine Borden, a mysterious inventor who's offering a generous payout. All the parents have to do is allow their children to test her long-awaited “revolutionary” playground equipment. But hidden deep within the bowels of her gothic mansion are devices never meant to be seen—let alone played on.
Let me be real: parts of this book made me physically nauseous. The gore is unrelenting, and the horror is sharp and personal. Still, I couldn't look away. Once I pushed through the most disturbing scenes, I was hooked, desperate to know who would survive and how this nightmare would end. Think SAW, but with children—and somehow even more twisted.
While I’m not sure if I’ll be diving back into the world of splatterpunk any time soon, I’m glad I braved this one. If you’re into extreme horror and can handle the darkest of content, Playground is a wild, blood-soaked ride you won’t forget.
Will these broken kids rise above the horrors around them—or be consumed by the madness?
Fair warning: this book is brutally graphic and definitely not for everyone.

This book was sometimes too much (random putrid information that I'm sure some of us didn't want to know, but I guess it does show Geraldines insanity and what we are in for) and I kind of agree with others about the language and metaphor stuff. However, I actually liked some of the characters and were rooting for them. I loved the playground sections and the RULES. So yeah, I think it was a pretty good book that showed a "what if" scenario.

This book isn’t really scary its just gross. Specifically gross for being the sake of gross. I didnt care much for the kids that died but the concept was interesting at least (Iguess). If you take Saw x Squidgames x a dash of cocomelon this might just be what you get.

When I heard about this book I went in expecting to be completel  sickened.  I knew I was about to endure a book of child horror and was expecting myself to tap out. I guess I'm just that desensitized to violence. The worst part of this book is anything Geraldine related.
