Wow, this book was just as detailed and gross as I thought it was going to be. A perfect squid games meets saw fantasy.

Aside from the obvious gore in the book, I really appreciated the storyline, background of the characters, character development and the ending. I thought this was very well written despite all of the negative reviews I’ve read on here and seen online.

Rock deserved more, and so did most of the kids.. but Geraldine deserved exactly what she got. Also, she’s giving “There’s Something Up w the Johnson’s” energy (iykyk)….

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars (really 4.5 if I could) is the way some of the things were phrased but that’s totally a me thing. I wouldn’t be mad at a sequel…

This was my introduction to splatterpunk as a million other people. It’s fuxkin sick in the best ways. Theres a reason this guy is so popular. Intense and not a single dull moment. I really hope he expands on the story.

Another tiktok recommendation... if you like unnecessary alliteration, the same repeated adjectives, and similes shoved down your throat every 5 seconds, then this might be the book for you. On the bright side, the short chapters made this feel like a quick read, but I won't be upset if I never have to pick up this book again.
