Fumbled is the second book in the Playbook Series. It’s the second Chance for Poppi Patterson and T.K. Moore that almost ends when T.K.’s reaction to Poppi’s secret goes left.
My favorite part of this was seeing Poppi discover her voice in spite of all the disappointments she’s endured.

I liked this, but it felt a little unbalanced to me in the hero vs. the heroine. It was a fun Saturday afternoon read, but I'm not sure if I will read more from this author, as the next two books in the series have very hit or miss reviews.
But this one was fun! Mostly.
Poppy is a single mother to ten year old Ace. She and Ace's father, TK, were high school sweethearts, and now TK is one of the most famous football players in the NFL. They haven't seen each other since before Ace was born, as Poppy left town after she found out she was pregnant. When they reconnect, things happen. (Of course, you know with this premise, TK did not know about his son like Poppy thought he did! Classic misunderstanding.)
I loved Poppy as a heroine. She was so smart and capable, and she is such a good mother to Ace (who is a very non-annoying child character). I also liked the behind the scenes nature of all the NFL stuff (Alexa Martin's husband played for the NFL so she knows what she's talking about, and doesn't shy away from criticizing the sport or the negatives of the culture surrounding it, particularly the dangers to the players' health.)
I just never really warmed to TK. I know part of him being a jackass had to do with but mostly it's just him. We never get to see the sweetheart version of TK that Poppy originally fell in love with. I think if future books by this author get good reviews from people I trust, I will check them out.

Amazing can’t wait for the next book in the series!!
Definitely better than the first however I notice Martin follows a pretty consistent format of how her books play out.
The first third was immensely addictive, the middle stalled and the ending had some minor drama that picked up the pacing right before the ending. So it is a bit rinse, recycle, repeat but nevertheless these are very enjoyable guilty-pleasure romances.
If you're thinking of picking up Fumbled after reading Intercepted then do it, it's arguably better (and also, no stupid #hashtags haha).

3.25 stars.
The ''stalker''plot line was only there to justify the fact they would move in together 2sec after being
back in each other's lives... in the end, who the ''stalker'' is, their motives and how they resolved this so-called mystery... it was all poorly handled.
YESSS to the solid group of friends!!
