This sequel lacked the magical experience of Caraval we got in the first book. Tella is foolish and much more interested in men than the actual plot. I felt like she spent more time at the mercy of a man than actual solving problems and being a heroine. The stolen cloak scene felt like just another reason to have her be saved by Dante. I was uninterested in her romantic life, but unfortunately that seemed to be the focus. Also, Scarlett seems to have completely changed personalities. Everything seems to just be cobbled together and I'm not sure I'll read the third book.

This series has been a lot of fun to read. This book reads like a mystery, a fantasy and a tragic romance all in one. There were so many twists and turns, I got whiplash! 😅

While I struggled getting into this book to start, it ended up being better than the first. I hope the third combines Tella and Scarlett’s pov’s rather than limiting it to one. It’s interesting that this book is so untrustworthy. For all I know, nothing is real and the sisters are still on their home island!
I love this book!!!! I wasn't sure I was gonna like it at first, cause Caraval wasn't my favourite but omg Legendary is just amazing!!!! Jacks and Dante are definitely my favourite characters and i really hope Finale is from Donatella's POV because her POV is definitely more interesting than Scarlett's in my opinion. <3
