First, I must note that Jo Brenner is a wonderful writer and has a twisted mind worth reading if you like bully-to-lovers, dub-con, stories.
This book is an interconnected standalone, and I'm grateful that it gave readers more insight into Vice and Vixen.
Now, as for Isaac and Tovah: I loved their soulmate status, especially as it contrasted to the dark romance elements.
All this to say, Read the Trigger Warnings if needed.
Lastly, I seriously enjoyed that we got a Jewish mafia, since there are tons of books centered on the Italians, Irish, and Russians already out there.

Received ARC in exchange for honest review.

There is a lot smut. Like true smut. The story is amazing. Sad and sweet all at once. The bullying in the beginning was rough.

Probably would have been 4 stars if it hadn't started to drag quite a bit towards the end.

Otherwise, it was an easy, enjoyable read, although it did start to feel quite repetitive at parts.
