This one was a bit cringey for me. I did not enjoy the start of their story. Callie's hardcore crush on Castle was valid and appropriate for how young she is, but the way he was acting that entire time did not seem like the Castle readers have gotten to know over the last 4 books. I also was not a fan of how Callie was acting for the entire first half. She is only twenty-one, so it made perfect sense. Some of her decisions just irked me. I did enjoy the spice. Castle came out of nowhere with the sheer quality of his dirty talking. He was also the perfect balance of protective and possessive. Overall it was okay. I'd give it a read if you're into the series this far, but it was not my favorite out of all of them.
