I'd seen this book show up on a lot of BookTokers recommendations, and my FB book group read it a few months ago but I wasn't able to get it from the library in time to participate. I'm glad the book was finally released on ebook and I was able to read it. I thought it was a pretty decent thriller/mystery. I really liked the FMC, Hazel. She was sassy, determined, and relatable. There were definitely a few little plot twists here and there, that a thriller/mystery has to have, but they were a little weak. In my opinion, they weren't mind shattering or jaw dropping by any means. And the main twist...well I kind of saw it coming from a mile away. For me, that makes the book automatically loose a star. I had it pinned down to 2 main suspects the moment they entered the plot. I also figured out the "why" of the girls disappearances, so that was a tiny bit disappointing. I like to be shocked by the big reveal, and instead I was just patting myself on the back for being so smart. haha However, with all that being said, it was very entertaining, and never lost my interest.

I've been in a huge reading slump and this was the perfect way to get me out of it. I thought it was slightly more predictable than I would have preferred. However, it was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat.
