The story was good. I wanted to like the characters but the author, in my opinion, tried to hard at making her feminine. To me he almost made her seem weak. The overall mystery was great. You may suspect what could happen at the end but you truly didn't know until you read it.

This is the kind of book I love. It had a touch of cozy crime to it, but isn't really in that genre.

Hazel is a private investigator and one day a woman comes to her office and asks her to find her goddaughter.
What follows is a twisty  tale, will Hazell succeed?

Yes, it's early in the year, but this is one of my favorites so far.
