4.5 stars.

I don't think I enjoyed this book as much as the first one but that could just be because I wanted pretty much every character to get with someone different than who they actually ended up with. I also wanted a bit more plot, something that would have thrown the royal family into disarray. Saying that, I enjoyed it nevertheless and still can't wait to read the next one.

certainly not as good as book 1, but it was an interesting resolution to all the romances. a fun duology for sure!

I feel like I'm reading some sort of weird alternate universe Gossip Girl. These relationships are so .... everyone is falling for everyone. Even in a weird way? I don't understand why the Queen can't still love Connor, I still like her with Teddy though. Someone also just needs to tell Jeff to open his eyes.

Overall, pretty good book. I liked the character growth in this book and new character dynamics. I was worried it was going to be just like the first book again - which it wasn't but also kind of was a bit. Anyway, I was entertained.

all three of these stars are from Beatrice and Beatrice alone.

Here are my thoughts: I need Daphne's downfall like I need oxygen, Jeff is such an idiot but he's a man so that's to be expected, Sam has the maturity of a newborn puppy but I lowkey fuck with her, and Nina... falling for that man was EMBARASSING
