I didn’t not like this book, but I also don’t know why the author felt the need to completely do a 180° on all of the characters and their relationships? Conner may as well have not even existed. Even with his and Beatrice’s small reunion, he was insignificant. I liked that Beatrice and Teddy realized they were good together and fell in love although it was still a meh storyline which is saying something because I really like Teddy. Also, Beatrice, you’re the Queen and it takes you the entire book to fire Robert and take control?! I liked Sam a lot better in this book. She showed growth and that one make out sesh in a coat closet doesn’t make a true love story. I like her and Marshall together they seem to understand each other. Daphne still being Daphne and still being the most interesting and complex character. Her and Himari’s relationship was interesting and I really enjoyed reading their interactions. Jeff again is gullible af. Jeff also may as well not even existed in this book, even though there were two storylines involving him, he was insignificant haha! I still don’t understand Ethan, but I would’ve definitely preferred his POV to Nina’s. Again I say, Nina sucks. She’s the WORST! She doesn’t tell Sam what Daphne did but gets mad because Sam is giving her a chance? She falls for Ethan because of one late night pizza conversation and doesn’t think twice about how it’ll hurt Jeff? But again Nina is always the victim! Yeah what Ethan and Daphne did sucks and I’m not defending them, but I’d much rather have read his POV than hers. Again, gtfoh Nina.
funny hopeful inspiring

Overall the storyline is quite nice. But, I feel like the story going to continue is it? Beatrice did not get married yet. I just want to say once, I don't like Daphne in this book

I loved the first book and it was wonderful to enter this fantasy world again. This time around was a bit slower, and I felt the relationships didn't have as much chemistry. But, I also devoured it, was surprised by where some of the story went compared to where I thought it was going in the first book, and loved how it all wound up.

Horrible, la autora se "olvidó" todo lo que escribió en el libro anterior. En las últimas 50 páginas se pone interesante, pero no lo bastante como para que lo puntúe con más estrellas.

I didn't think I could like the sequel more than the first novel, but Katharine McGee surprised me yet again. I loved The Thousandth Floor series, and American Royals is similar in the juicy lives of the characters. The sense of duty, honour, and revenge that motivates these books is really addictive to read through.

I loved following Nina, Beatrice, Sam, and Daphne as they navigated their personal and political lives. This one picked up right after the bombshells of the last book where the King died and Beatrice went on to marry Teddy despite breaking the heart of her guard and her sister in the process. Daphne is still attempting to ruthlessly climb to the top of her social ladder, and Nina is just trying to move on after a nasty break up with Jeff.

I can't wait for the next book in this series, I loved the situations the characters found themselves in and their growth in the second novel. This is a book you read that feels like watching a good tv show, fun and full of scandal.

Shamelessly love this series
