I LOVED the first book and was so excited to read this one. I was addicted to the first 3/4 and then I felt like everything from there was unnecessarily rushed and the ending was far from satisfying. I will forever be pissed off that Daphne ends up with Jefferson and that the consequences for her actions are incredibly anticlimactic. I get that Jeff is a dumbass who struggles to see the truth that’s in front of him, but did he really deserve the evil that is Daphne? Like I said, forever pissed.
3 stars ONLY because I enjoyed the first 3/4 of the novel.

This book was so much fun! I adore the characters, angst and drama, excited for book 3!
*i would suggest reading my review for American royals first*
Ok, I don’t usually rate the second books in a series five stars, but this was an exception. Although this book made me mad, I know that’s how it was SUPPOSED to be, meaning she did an amazing job and that’s why it’s five stars.
Let’s start off with Jefferson. I don’t think I’ve ever been so mad at such a stupid character before. Like hold up, you actually believe what this person is telling you?? Like I’m sorry (not sorry) but how stupid can you possibly be, like for real?? I liked him in the first book but BOY did it change here. Anyways I could make an entire one hour video ranting about how stupid he is, but I’ll stop here (for now).
I literally love Nina, and I surprisingly liked her with *spoiler* like I see some of these reviews and they hate them together and OBVIOUSLY the beginning was bad but once it got farther a long you couldn’t just tell they actually liked each other AND IM HERE FOR IT OK.
I forget what his name is (it’s been like two weeks since I read the book) but the one with Princess Samantha. I have nothing like…against him or anything I dont really like about him… he’s just there.
*spoilers if you haven’t read the first book*
Although I love both teddy and Beatrice, I don’t really feel the connection or a spark between them, and I really think Bea should’ve ended up with Connor 100%

1st reread: 4.25 stars! I genuinely enjoyed this book again. I took copious notes and I'll copy/paste them under a spoiler tag tomorrow.

book 1 was a hot mess and I loathed many things about that book, but this book was actually pretty delightful.
so many unexpected turns and I genuinely enjoyed them all
