Yes, I had to dive into this one as soon as I finished the first. Still great fun. Looking forward to the third book.

Wow, I breezed through this one. I might have even liked it better than the first book.

As before, it was interesting to see a “what if” approach. As I read, I kept having to remind myself that this was just that because it all seemed so surreal.

One thing I loved about this book, and the first one as well actually, is that the characters are so different, but they’re explored in such depth. The theme of this book is power, and as such, each of the four main characters have different views and relationships with it. Beatrice and Samantha were born with it, though the former less so than the latter; Nina is pulled into it; and Daphne is thirsty for it.

Speaking of Daphne, she still wasn’t my favorite. As a matter of fact, she was even more unlikable here. But if I’m being honest, part of me enjoyed reading her train wreck of a subplot, hoping for her to get her downfall sooner or later. That’s the thing about villain MCs; if written well, you’re rooting for them to fail. I’ll admit that I’m a bit disappointed that hadn’t happened in this book, but we still have two more to go.

Love the series and love the characters (minus Daphne and Jeff was so frustrating in this book). I didn't realize the next book wasn't released yet! Impatiently waiting till May

I didn't like this one as much as the first. Still a fun listen, though.

When a sequel is even better than the original?! *chef’s kiss*

Absolutely living for every character’s development throughout the story. Except Daphne. F*ck you, Daphne.

Speaking of Daphne.... 3rd book please?! We must know what happens next. Katharine McGee, if you can see this, we need answers please and thank you <3

I loved this book way more than the first one! I loved all the character development, and how you can really tell they’ve changed. I’m really excited for the third book!!
