I was so excited to read this book to feel very disappointed after I read it. The first half was good but the rest was not. There was no feel good revenge, no closure for some characters, if this was a second of three books it wouldn’t have been so bad. It feels like the author just wanted to be done with the book so it wasn’t wrapped up as good as it could have been and she just gave up on some parts.
I actually don’t understand.
1. This is a completely different book than the first. All the relationships are changed, most of them just feel empty. Personalities are different, there are so many instances where I thought to myself «Am I reading fanfiction?»
2. This is supposedly the final book. What?! There are absolutely no conclusions, everything’s a mess. I would say that the only thing concluded is Sam and Marshall. Everything else? Just up in the air.
Now some general complaints. SPOILERS AHEAD:
- So Connor just disappears and Beatrice hardly thinks of him ever. How convenient.
- Poor fucking Nina. Can never get a break right? And at the end she’s thinking of getting back with Ethan? After the stunts he pulled? *vomit*
- Where did Jeff’s personality go? Wasn’t he soooo in love with Nina? How can he possibly be so blind to Daphne’s antics? Why did he suddenly love Daphne just because she’s always around? Excuse me?
- How does Daphne not suffer a single repercussion????? Himari remembers everything *gasp* Oh, but they’re so alike so never mind if she was drugged by her best friend. Forgive and forget, right?
I cannot for the life of me understand if there’s not a third book. But I don’t know if I would read it. It’s not that I expected happy endings, I just wanted things to make sense. Nothing makes sense in this book.

Reads like a soap opera. If you enjoy messy, dramatic romance... This is the one for you!
This was an easy, fun read that turns the first book on its head. As the middle book in a trilogy the ending of this book would have been okay, but as the end of the series it felt unfinished and messy.

This series would make a great teenage tv drama series. I can see it going many different directions to keep the story going. It was a fun easy read. Its not something I would read again but I enjoyed the books. It was very pro-feminism in the best way. I loved how the pettyness between sisters didn't last too long and ended in a realistic way.
