Okay reviewing this is hard for me. I read this after meeting the wonderful Michelle A. Valentine in person. She is wonderful, sweet, and extremely gracious and kind to her fans. So how could I ever rate anything poorly with that deep in my mind? Lucky for me I have no issue giving this 4 Bright Shining Stars. So here is my honest review.
For the last four years, good girl Lane has regretted breaking up with Noel Falcon. She thought she was sensible when she told him his dreams of being a rock star would get him nowhere, but now that he's a rock god and her career is stagnant, she realizes just how wrong she was. When Noel hires the marketing company where Lane is an intern, she’s forced to see him again. If she wants to land her dream job as executive within the company, she has to win him over and secure his account. Too bad Noel is still pissed at her for breaking his heart.
“This next song goes out to the girl who shredded my heart without hesitation back in high school. It's called Ball Busting Bitch, and Lane this one's for you.” ~ Noel
Noel agrees to help her land her dream job with the marketing company. But there is a condition, Lane has to go on tour with him for two weeks. Noel realizes he has never gotten over Lane and decides that this will be the perfect opportunity to make her want him again. Lane is determined to be professional and keep Noel at arm's distance. But can she? Can Lane and Noel get over the pain of their past? Can they build a future together? I cannot reveal the answers, but I can say it is a fantastic ride to get them.
I really enjoyed the back and forth banter between Lane and Noel. I felt their chemistry, their passion, and their desires. I connected with them individually quickly. I found I could relate with both sides. Noel at times gave me whiplash with his bipolar like mood swings, but I still really enjoyed him. Lane could have saved me a lot of anxiety by just giving in. This is the love of your life, high school sweetheart, and what you consider your soul mate: no job is worth losing that over. I most definitely would have been all over Noel.
“I’ll do anything you want to make this happen between us … I can’t lose you again. It hurts too fucking much.” ~Noel

All together this book is really well written. It is fun, cute, and has a lot of witty banter. I know I will continue to read and follow Michelle's work and will recommend it to others.

I have read this series numerous times. I am the first to admit I love rockstar romances, but this book is so much more. It is a second chance, grasping at straws romance. At times you might think Lane and Noel won't make it. So many emotions. Screams of frustration. Swooning over deep love. Happy Dance.

There are secrets to be told. There are apologies to be made. There is a devious boss as Lanie tries to secure a job. In the end it is love and a deep desire to find forever that gives this story a WOW! factor.

The only thing I didn't like was the skank making Noel think she was knocked up by him. That and the fact that the actual father was his bodyguard. That just ticks me off.

"This next song goes out to the girl who shredded my heart without hesitation back in high school. It's called Ball Busting Bitch, and Lanie, this ones for you."

Now if that line doesn't hook you in.. I have no idea what will.

Rock the Heart was such a good book! Lanie and Noel were on fire throughout the book. god, I loved their second chance kind of romance. The amount of sass and salty quotes gave me life.

Now Noel is salty AF when he sees his ex among the crowd in the middle of a concert. Of course he is still attracted to her and shit but when he calls her out before he goes into another song.. well, I couldn't help but do a slow clap for him.

Lanie is trying to do so well in her internship. It's her dream job and she would literally do anything for her boss at this point. Well, until she get's the worst news ever. She has to tour with her ex boyfriends band, Black Falcon.

Of course I wanted this hot mess of a reunion because I wanted to ship them so freaking badly. I absolutely love second chance romances and these two definitely gave me life. Things get hot and heavy after their super awkward encounter. I was hooked from the start. Their feelings for each other were so genuine and real and I loved it. Again, their chemistry was basically on fire.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and getting to see their romance blossom again. I can't wait to read the second book now.

This book is very moreish.... i put it down then picked it up wanting a few more pages.....

So Noel

Yea that's how i see him!

Is the lead singer of the famous band Black falcon! Once Lane is assigned to work with the band love reignites between the sweet twosome.

The book is beautifully written, the steam is amazing, the characters are fantastic.... I hope the other members of the band get a story!

Some of the reactions the characters have to certain situations i found a little unrealistic, but it didn't take away from how much i loved this book... definitely will be reading the next!
