I read this book in one day. Its been ages to complete any book in one day. This book is really an eye-opener for me in many levels.
This book exposes the reality of the blood money behind the intellectual mafia ruling Indian Media and popular discourse. Exposes how criminals are ruling the roost in India wearing a mask of "human rights", "women’s right" and various NGOs. I am not saying every NGOs are corrupted, there are some who used NGOs to bypass the money or agenda. Not only terrorist are brainwashed, in this book you can see how educated normal citizen are brainwashed to the core. You can also find how professor and students are brainwashed. It also exposes how communist/leftist/breaking India ideology has infiltrated our educational institutions like termites for decades and how their narrative is supported by the sold out media. Earlier I used to think Naxals or communist are very few in numbers. After reading this book i realized that these hypocrites are in large numbers in every urban and they never want any development or upliftment for society. For them only their purpose should be solved.
There seems to be a self-destructive strand among sections of India that makes them actively court and woo forces that are inimical, hostile to or want to dismember whatever is left of the Indian-ness component in the Indian state.
Like Sandeep Balakrishna beautifully said "Perhaps jungle Naxalism is no longer required: we now have two and half generations of Naxals in our cities and towns who are thoroughly brainwashed that they don't even realise that they've have been brainwashed".
Hats off to the boldness of Author Vivek Agnihotri. The book gives an account of a filmmakers encounter with radicalism in urban India. Everyone should read it. I don’t give a damn when some people give negative reviews about this book. Read the book then judge it. Many will review it without even reading it.
Must read.

This is a seminal work by Vivek Agnihotri ji. As 'eye-opening' as anything could get. An absolute must read for every one of us, especially for the young generation, regardless of the ideology one may generally subscribe to.
Also do watch the film "Buddha in a traffic jam".

This book is about making of the movie Buddha. I agree that brainwashing starts at very young age and is very dangerous but but but how is it good to name everyone as urban naxals if they do not subscribe to your opinions ? One thing that irked me is how this guy went on to disclose personal lives of actors and actresses as if they consented him to do so. He is a story teller and he did tell the story pretty well. But that's just that. All of us should take his views with a pinch of salt.

As a storyteller, Vivek does a good job of highlighting the journey of trying to push his movie against all odds , touring campuses around India and painting a picture of the varied reception he got across the breadth of this country. Having read a left wing "Hello Bastar" which raised uncomfortable questions to the right wing, this right wing account provides a contrasting view and raises uncomfortable questions to the left wing, so for someone who is neutral/ central leaning, these two accounts help provide a broader understanding of the politics in India. He helps uncover a lot of hidden details about the left wing nexus (skipping right wing nexus which also exists), but I guess that can be expected in a world around politicisation of everything. This is one of the more sensible right wing narratives I have come across.

If you are wondering what is the cause of intolerance debate, award vaapsi, Tukde gang in JNU shouting anti-India slogans and why Rohit Vemula suicide was turned into huge issue THEN you must read this book.
It explains that even if Naxal violence is much more compared to Kashmir terrorists, common people don't know that. It's because Naxals have nexus with media, educational institutions and NGOs. Media projects it in positive light. NGOs are used for funding. Educational institutions are used to brainwash students. That's Urban Naxals.

Cover is good
Plot is excellent
Characters well settled and presented
Plot development great and make this novel a super exciting and thrilling to read this piece of work
Although half of it is an autobiographical of the author life.
This book is about a college student who love to take stand for any injustice happens in the college come in influence with his Professor who is helping naxalites in the parts or Mumbai and neighbouring States , he developed a website to help the professor thinking he is contributing towards the society, but slowly when story unfolds that guy found his talent and smartness is misused for some illegal terror campaign, he fight against it and try to save many lifes which are in danger Because of him. He was forced to be part of that organised terror group he refused , only by got threat for life , he join out of fear, later to kill all he did something interesting and that was good.
The stories show how some intellectual are involved in the some illegal ventures without knowing what they are doing and that might come to haunt them back although they think they are standing by right but what is shown to them is half truth of ugly side of naxal.
