Disappointed in this one. The story was fine, the standard I expected from this series. It was the constant jumping forward in time. Once or twice, I can allow but it jumped around six times. Each time, I got more annoyed with the story. If the story had just stayed linear with no jumps, I would have given it a solid four.

What was this...?? I just got snippets of these two's life for like 57% and then after we finally get to what I think is present day...we keep jumping...one week, two weeks...even months?? I wanted a full fledged story of them but we just got Logan continually pushing her away until he's like "fine.." and then we get about 17% of them together and then..well the rest is predictable.
I was bored because of the lack of fluidity in the storyline. We just get the past which is just so choppy and that stalker was just awful...I felt that Chase put him in for conflict but I felt that the main couple had their own obstacles to overcome that he wasn't needed...
But, I did like what we did get when we were in the "present day." They were funny, endearing and pure cuteness. Also, the writing is still pretty great!

Already in the first book, we got small hints that something might happen between Logan and Ellie, so I was looking forward to seeing how their story would turn out.
At the beginning of the story, we follow Ellie's younger years and how she and Logan grow close over the following years. And when the team travels to Wesco, the events accelerate. Logan brought the typical overprotective and caring character that I adored in him, and in Ellie, her unbroken cheerfulness and silliness.
Logan's work reason for not getting together with Ellie was a bit odd to me since the two are not mutually exclusive in my opinion. But I honestly liked the story anyway.
I loved that we got lots and lots of scenes with Nicholas and Olivia and Sarah and Henry, whose secret wedding was simply heartwarming. I'm starting to love the series ❤️

3.5 but I rounded up. It took SO long for them to figure things out and get together.
Ok--I rounded up from 3 to 4 stars for Logan. His and Ellie's story really takes place over five years, from when he first met her as a high school senior, staying behind to keep an eye on her while Olivia was in Wessco with Nicholas. It's cute watching Ellie crush on him and him trying not to break her heart, then struggling not to give in once she's old enough (around 20, while he is, I believe, 25?), because that would just complicate things all around and he'd feel like he let Nicholas down. The contrivances make sense, given their backgrounds and issues--Ellie struggling with a grieving alcoholic of a dad growing up, and Logan growing up with a family of criminals and dirtbags. The epilogue is sweet. Shane East gave him a stronger accent in the first book in the series to differentiate from Nicholas, and it kinda comes in and out here, which is a shame, as Shane is British and can do different regional accents. But he's still amazing to listen to.
