4.5 stars — Every time I read a book by Ms. Chase, I’m reminded why I love her. There’s just something about each and every one of her characters that draws me in, makes me laugh, makes me feel for them, even when they’re all entirely different. And their interactions are beyond amazing! Always witty and sassy and just the best quips and bantering. This book gave me all that and more.

I wasn’t sure how Ellie and Logan’s story was going to go, where it would start, and what parts we would get to see. I was pretty ecstatic when it started back in the summer they first met (coinciding with the timeline of book one), because I was given a taste for what each of them were thinking and feeling. And they didn’t disappoint. Ellie was just as adorable as I expected, so young and optimistic and fun! And Logan was so torn, wanting to do his job to the best of his ability, but also not being able to help what he was slowly feeling for her. I was a bit dismayed with the little time jumps on occasion…I kept wondering how things were working in the interim. Did the security detail rotate between Nicholas, Olivia and Ellie, so that he was occasionally guarding her? That’s what I’m assuming. I think my favourite part was Ellie’s birthday and the paintball game…made me laugh and grin and squee.

It was kind of an interesting love story in that way, because it truly was slow-burning. Both had feelings for the other, but they danced around them assuming it wouldn’t work, and just pining quietly. You could see things shifting a bit at a time, but it was slow. I appreciated the tension that it built, and that we got to see them develop a solid base before their relationship moved to a new level. And hoo-boy, once they got to that new steamy level, DAMN!!! Chemistry for days!

I made some guesses about the bad guy, and was totally wrong…I think Ms. Chase set up a red herring, and I’m disappointed I fell for it.

I LOVED that after the action-y climax, we got a sort of extended epilogue where we got some closure with the other couples as well. And I LOVED the *actual* epilogue. Good stuff. All in all, this series was DA BOMB DOT COM. I have zero regrets, other than wanting more time in my life to read it again.

Logan is a bodyguard, he started working for the royal family very young and he was assigned to protect princess Olivia's sister: Ellie. Even though Ellie is beautiful, sassy and very young, they're actually close in age and despite their differences Logan is drawn to her but Ellie is also his job. Protecting the royal family is not only Logan's duty, it's is life and his honor. Logan is intense, brooding, sexy, has a heart of gold and his sense of honor is very strong, so will he give in to his feelings for Ellie?

Ellie is a sweet, innocent, young woman who happens to be Olivia's sister. Since Olivia fell in love with Nicholas, Ellie's life changed a lot. She's studying really hard in her senior year in high school while she tries to run her family bakery but now she's part of the royal family and that means protection 24/7. And she's realizing she doesn't mind that protection at all when it's provided by broody Logan... But will she be able to break Logan's restraint?

The story takes place over several years so Logan and Ellie's attraction increases as time goes by and the slow build up between them hooked me from the very first second. Their bond keeps growing and their relationship is genuine, refreshing and real as it evolves from friends to star crossed lovers.

Royally Endowed is an amazing slow burn story, brilliantly written with an epic prologue that kept me glued to my Kindle and a stunning epilogue, absolutely perfect for hopeless romantics like me!

(And there's a Walking Dead reference, totally loved it!)

Emma Chase books are always a fun read and this was no exception! Loved it.

I was really looking forward to this one and it mostly lived up to my expectations. I do feel like it was missing something or there was too much something added. I’m not sure. But Ellie and Logan have definitely been my favorite couple of the series.
