I’m a sucker for a single dad, and Kyle Collins, the new math teacher and football coach in Devil’s Head certainly hit the spot. The age gap between him and Eve was the crux of their issues with taking their chemistry and banter out into the open, and I can see why. At 18, she’s just dipping her toes into adulthood. 10 years her senior, raising a 5 year old (who was insanely adorable and stole the show) on his own, he knows what society will think of their relationship. But there was no denying their attraction and the way their chemistry grew as they spent more and more time with one another. I loved Eve’s witty remarks and sass. She embodied the middle child to a T. There was the usual emotional undertone to it all, with a range of sweet, spicy, and sad. I’m looking forward to seeing the youngest Jacobson (Gabby) get her time to shine.

I absolutely adored this book. I didn’t want it to end. The banter was EVERYTHING. I was giggling and smiling nonstop. But, the story itself broke my heart but then put it back together again. This series is so so good.
