I'm not kidding when I say I had to reread the prologue twice. I was so confused. But as I read on, it made so much sense. And I swear the plot twists in this book!

The plot twists had my heart shattering so much. Hunter and Maisy were made for each other. Their backgrounds and secrets caused a lot of tension for them, but ultimately, their relationship was beautiful.

4.5 It was nice to see Maisy’s story come to a happy ever after. In book 1 she was pregnant by the psychopath who tried to kill her, but she killed him instead. To see her 4 year old son and Hunter bond with the best father/son relationship was heart warming. We also saw all the other couples and the epilogue showed them all 7 years later. What a great series. I’m hooked on Devney Perry’s writing, characters and settings.

I’d come to Prescott with a plan: to look out for this beautiful soul. My plan had just changed. Now I was here to win her heart.

“I don’t want you to see my mess.”
“Maisy, do you think a mess is going to scare me away? If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m staying until you make me leave.”

“She needs to know it’s safe to fall in love. She needs to see that she can trust a man. Be that man for her, Hunter. Protect her from the shit in this world. God knows, she’s seen enough. It’s time for her to get some peace.”

🌸 Maisy’s life revolves around work and her son — and ignoring the trauma from her past (Book 1) — until an inn guest has her lowering her walls and risking a relationship, despite his reluctance to share his past. Hunter wasn’t supposed to see her, speak to her, fall for her, but now that he has can he really keep her once she knows the truth?
🌸 Just as Garnet Flats did, this book had me by the throat! I could not put it down until I knew the truth! I laughed, I cried, I bit my nails. 🙌🏻
🌸 Well established secondary characters: Gigi & Jess (Book 1), Nick & Emmeline (Book 2), Felicity & Silas (Book 3), Beau & Sabrina (Book 4), Milo (Book 6), Michael.
🌸 MC growth: trust, communication, forgiveness, past trauma, risking a relationship.

A well deserved ending for Maisy

This was simply put a perfect story for Maisy and I could not be more pleased with it. Terrorized and hurt beyond imagining by the father of her son in the first book in the series she is trying to move on. But burying herself in her inn and being the best mother she can be has not stopped the nightmares and flashbacks. She is lonely, but resigned to her lot in life whilst watching all her friends and loved ones living their happily ever after.
Until a beautiful , stunningly gorgeous man walks into her inn and takes her breath away, leaving her a babbling mess. They have an insatiable attraction that cannot be denied and she slowly let's him in, despite his unwillingness to speak of his past. She decides to give him time. Unfortunately time is not on their sides and it runs out before he can share his past with her.
Can she forgive? Can she love him and trust him despite it all?
.Maisey and Hunters story is the perfect ending to the series and Devney Perry might just have saved the best for last.

What else can I say except I love Hunter! The Bitterroot Inn was sweet and swoon-worthy and suspenseful. It was so wonderful to fall in love with Marist, Hunter, and Coby’s story.
