The Bitterroot Inn was amazing. I loved the build and details as everything unfolded. I was filled with so much anticipation and loved every second!
Hunter and Maisy were wonderful characters. Hunter was so sexy and sweet. I had so many questions about this guy and loved every detail I learned, how all the little bits and pieces connected, I really liked the mystery surrounding him. I loved Maisy’s strength and determination. She’s so strong and genuine, working hard to make a better life for her and her son but dealing with a lot from her past. I loved how the relationship between Maisy and Hunter grew and loved the simmering chemistry between them, there was a fantastic amount of building tension and heat.
I thought the story was really well written. I was excited as everything developed and connections were learned. I couldn’t wait to learn all of Hunter’s secrets! Maisy’s son was a sweetheart, any scene with that cute boy I ate up. I loved Maisy’s family, all their friends, and the bonds they share. I loved seeing how everyone from the series has grown over the years, the kids that have been added to the mix, and the basic growth for all of them.
This had the perfect mix of everything I love in a story. It was sweet and sexy, witty, emotional, there was a bit of intrigue and a nice amount of drama. Anything with a single parent I’m a sucker for. Add in a dirty talking doctor with a heart of gold and a strong heroine I'm all about it. This was a wonderful addition to the Jamison Valley series and is not to be missed!

My heart is so full. After 4 books we finally got to see Maisy’s happily ever after!
I’ve felt so protective over her, and seeing Hunter love her and her son Coby, warmed my heart to no end! This couple had such a good story.
Hunter was a silly billy for keeping secrets but knowing why he did and seeing how protective he was of Maisy and Coby, made up for it!
I know I’ve still got to read the novella ‘The Candle Palace’ but as we already know the couple it’s about, I feel happy saying that this book was such a great end to the Jamison Valley series. I feel like we’ve come full circle, with Maisy’s story, I adore her so much, I loved seeing how far she’s come from the first book to then watching her progression first hand! I adored Coby, he was the cutest little boy, so joyful and bubbly! And then there’s Hunter, he’s everything. He’d do anything for them and he continuously showed that.
If you haven’t started this series then you 100% have to!

Last book in the series and does not disappoint. Perfect way to wrap up the series. Maisy and Hunter are so great! Maisy is the perfect mom. And who doesn't love a hot doctor falling for a single mom. Such a great read.
3.75 stars
This one had a ton of cute, sweet moments and I really thought the ending was incredibly touching.
Although I loved it, it wasn't one of my favorites of this series, but to be fair, I think that's more of a me problem lmao. I will say that I did enjoy the second half a lot more than I enjoyed the first half. Do with that what you will.
I just was never super excited about getting Maisy's story (though I did love finally getting to see her grow and prosper after all the shit she went through) and I just generally had a hard time initially connecting to this couple. Plus, I was not a fan of Hunter's secrets in the beginning, but I understand why he had to do it the way that he did.
Regardless, it was sweet, emotional, and dramatic. All the things I love about Devney's books. I'm so sad that I only have one book left in this series?? I have loved getting to read each couple's stories and getting to know all of these characters. Very curious to see who the next one will be about cause I don't know who is left lol.

Hunter and Maisy - single mom, small town,
Maisy has had a rough couple of years. She started saying a doctor who she worked with, fell pregnant, almost got force fed pills that would kill the baby and maybe her, and killed her ex with a scalpel in the hospital basement. Since all that she hasn’t stepped foot in a hospital and bought the hotel in town. Hunter comes to town but doesn’t intend to run into Maisy, just keep an eye on her. They meet at the hotel accidentally and he can’t stay away but he has secrets of his own that he’s not ready to share with her because he knows Maisy will leave.

After the trauma Maisy endured in book one of Jamison Valley I was DESPERATE for her story. Maisy took over the local inn and it’s thriving! When Hunter needs a room for a month, his handsome and charming persona quickly pulls her. Despite all of Hunters charm Maisy can’t help but wait for the other shoe to drop.
Hunter seems to have a tight lips about his past which puts her on edge.
While I did love this story, I felt like Maisy allowed herself to be left in the dark by not insisting on knowing more about him. Or ya know when he said he needed to talk to her about something important maybe not brushing that off for other stressors
