SO Sweet! A father’s story explaining his world when his child is 2 months old.

I love this book. It does the macrocosm all the way to the day to day, not quite microcosm. It is powerful to show how small this little planet is in all that space and then when you see all the diversity and wonders on Earth, it really does make this place feel special. I love his art work. Oliver does a fantastic job of showing the Earth and I love the pages with all the different sizes, shapes and colors of people, like blue people, and all the different animals.

It has a great way of making me appreciate that this is our place and how we treat the world is up to us.

My niece gave this too me to read. She picked it out. She told me it was a good book and I would like it. She was right. She knows what I like. She gave it 4 stars. The nephew liked all the space stuff. He asked if there was a robot in the rocket ship. Sure we said. He gave it 4 stars too. I like the big concept to really appreciate what we have. He says, there is enough for everyone. I think this is a special book.

It's definitely not for reading to a group, but would probably make a nice one-on-one reading experience.
Amazing pictures which do a great job of showing the beauty of our diverse planet and a wonderful message, but somehow this one just didn't grab me.

This is a sweet book that talks about the interconnectedness of all living things on Earth. The illustrations are beautifully done and tiny captions bring some humor to the story. It makes a beautiful read aloud. It was written by Jeffers to his infant son and is meant to be his perspective on the world that he wants his son to see. The message is one of diversity and unity. We are all different but not alone. It is so meaningful right now in the time of isolation due to COVID19 and the world-wide pandemic. He interweaves his message and lovely illustrations of the Earth and its place in the Solar System right next to people and animals and their place on Earth. It is just an all around sweet reflection on life on Earth. Themes: Unity, Diversity, Environment, Interconnectedness.

Mooi voorleesboek voor René en Lucie. Aanrader!

We're not alone on planet earth. Loved this book and its message.

Eines der schönsten Kinderbücher, die ich kenne. So liebevoll & tief ins Detail illustriert!

Jeffers' illustrations are wonderful as always, and there's so much to talk about that this is a great one-on-one read aloud.

Even though this book is for toddlers, I love it. Solid message about acceptance and loving the Earth we live in. Neat!

Embracing diversity and showing kindness! Great start to the year book about looking after ourselves and the world.
