Camden and Hunter are rock musicians on tour and getting ready to go home for Christmas Hunter loves alcohol and groupies but is currently sober or at least trying to be. Camden’s girl next door, Lauren is his childhood crush and bff’s with his brother, Hunter. Lauren wants to talk to Hunter when the boys arrive home so Hunters wants her to become the band’s social media manager.
I absolutely loved this story. Camden & Lauren’s relationship was my favorite part of this story as well as Camden’s relationship with Cadence

Tiktok almost had me....DNF @ 8% because.....

Spoiler
Heroine:"Oh, you know the usual. Except this time she's threatening to stop paying my student loans and kick me out of the house!"

Heroine: "I do stupid things when she provokes me. Like today the whole fight started because I made her think I was putting cadence in one of my videos and I wasnt. Not that I have anything against doing it, but I only let her think it because I knew it would piss her off"

Best friend: "Yeah but thats just who you are"
Heroine: "A child you mean?"
Best friend: "No a firecracker"

......NO it makes her a child! She's an influence who lives with her parents who are paying her student loans off, pays no bills, and thinks its okay to act this way? Yeah nah i'm good. I usually don't like DNF a book, but the heroine killed it for me.

"This is just how it works with obsession. Nothing about it is rational."

Not what I expected when I started this one.
The series title is accurate as can be because damn are Camden & Lauren toxic AF.

I wasn't sure if I was going to finish this one or not, it got stale midway through. It was like you know a train wreck is going to happen and then it happens but you're left with a huh expression on your face.
You know the hard part is coming but it doesn't prepare you for what happens.
Cruel..
Unforgiving..
Insensitive..
Hurtful..

While this book was unexpected simply in the toxicness it was slow until it wasn't and then it was full speed ahead. I will say the last half of this book was great, the grovel was top tier and the spice was minimal for me.

For a new author to me I wasn't disappointed at all, the writing was great I just got lost on the plot and story which happens but I am glad I read to the end, the end made it worth it.

For everyone saying the Hero grovels. Spoiler: He doesn't!! He was just whiny and the Heroine forgave to quickly. Other than that the book was okay. The author is great and definitely underrated. Her books deserve more hype especially her first one.

so no one really cared that Ryder might be raising a kid that isn't his that everyone knows but him.

not sure if I really ended up rooting for them, but I too might prostitute myself for a folk rock singer.
