⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5/5)

Characters: 5/5

This series truly shines because of its characters. Lily and Lo’s relationship is raw, vulnerable, and beautifully supportive. Their growth—both individually and together—is inspiring, and the way their friends rally around them creates a strong “found family” vibe that’s impossible not to love. Their loyalty to each other and the strength of their bond is at the heart of this book.

Plot: 4/5

I enjoyed Addicted for Now more than the second book. It was such a relief (and joy) to have Lily and Lo back together and continuing their recovery journey side by side. The pacing felt more balanced, and the emotional stakes were even higher.

Emotional Impact: 4/5

Watching Lo help Lily through her addiction was incredibly moving. There’s something very powerful about seeing two broken people trying to heal not just themselves, but each other. The emotional support between characters felt authentic and tender.

Personal Enjoyment: 4.5/5

This one hit all the right emotional beats for me. I flew through it, totally wrapped up in the lives of these flawed but lovable characters. It’s not always easy to read, but it’s worth it.

⚠️ Trigger Warnings:

Please note this series deals heavily with themes of addiction (sex and alcohol), and Addicted for Now also includes mentions of sexual assault and slut-shaming. I’d highly recommend checking full trigger warnings before diving in.

3.5

entertaining & easy to read. i can feel myself getting attached to the characters as well
fast-paced

rereading the entire addicted world after two years and while dealing with my ocd is something else. i am so grateful these books and characters exist

I don’t know what it is about this series, maybe it’s the plot, or the writing style, or it’s not what I’m used to reading… but it was just so difficult to read. Like I constantly found myself needing a break because my little brain needed to wrap my head around what was going on.

However… the character development in these boks is just *chefs kiss*

i love the found family and love lily and lo, and the plot for this book kept me entertained. still not convinced about ryke, i think his character is a bit flat and quite irritating. im curious to see if my opinion will change when it gets to daisy and rykes pov. also i love rose and connor and can’t wait to read their story 😭 i definitely get why this series is so beloved esp with the found family.
