o my GAWD the enemies-to-lovers trope was insane but also rlly short? there were hints sprinkled throughout the beginning of the book that already led me to believe that sylvie & dominic had a thing for each other (DESPITE hating each other bc they were polar opposites)

Still 5 stars for the story - still love it, although not quiiiiiiiite the same hit as Act Like It, so that means I'm about to go re-read Act Like It, LOL - although I am not enthused about this narrator's "Dominic" voice. It was not good. (And joke's on me, bc she reads a good chunk of Lucy Parker's audiobooks, sigh)

I enjoyed this, but I also thought the author tried to do too much. There were so many storylines running throughout the book and some weren’t necessary. Very fun though and I liked the characters, both main and side.

I really enjoyed my time reading this one! I LOVE foodie books and competition shows, so this was the perfect one for me.

The banter between the characters had me rolling through the whole book. I love snarky characters and these were a bit more snarky than I'm used to seeing, which I loved.

Seeing Dominic have so many traits of beloved male baking/cooking competition judges was awesome. If you've read this, did he also remind you of Paul Hollywood? He did for me, but I think he was a bit snarkier and mean sometimes.

The characters were so different and I loved seeing them interact with one another. I can't wait for the next book to come out!
