am I the only one who didn’t like this book?
First off the main MC was horrible and definitely need help. Cause the way he was treating Hosie for something she did to protect him and his brother made me sick. And then he sat there didn’t even try to heal and plotted “revenge” that was SA and drugged her ALL BECAUSE OF SOMETHING SHE HAD NO CONTROL OVER. and you wanna know the worst part? He only wanted to heal and forgive Posie after he had a conversation with his grandma??? where tf was she five-six years ago???? and although posie was one of the only tolerable characters in this book she was a complete dumbass for forgiving him so quickly. Posie, Paxton, Lark, Rome,and Zaydie were the only characters I tolerated and was the only reason I kept reading. Other than that this “dark romance” was complete shit. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE THE MC SA AND DRUG THE FMC AND MAKING HER SUFFER FOR SHIT SHE HAD NO CONTROL OVER TO MAKE THIS BOOK A DARK ROMANCE.

This book had me in a CONSTANT state of horny TEARS.
I don't know how the author did it, but this book was a one-two punch to my heart from beginning to end. I actually CRIED reading it. It's nowhere near the darkest book I've read, but it definitely has several DARK themes that may be triggering so read the authors note. Nonetheless, this book made me feel so much for the MCs. I didn't care what they did to each other, I never wasn't rooting for them.
To me, this is book about how deep you can love someone, and the things you're willing to do for that love. It's heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once.
The tension, the spice, ughhh! Raff has 100% earned a place in my book boyfriend list. His mouth, his rage, his pain...I love him.
I also have shout out how well the author names her books. This and Golden Wings & Pretty Things are just *chefs kiss*

I am so done with authors who think dark romance means the "hero" is a sexual abuser, a physical and psychological abuser to the "heroine" for no reason at all.
I am so sick of heroines having no self love they let themselves be treating like dirt because they think they deserve it (FOR NO REASON).
Every heroines in these dark romances stay victims, they stay with their abuser and the authors never give them closure and a better life because they associate dark romance with unsafe, unsane and non consensual. And you know the hero is crazy but he loves his victim he torments. LOL.

I knew I was going to love it and I did! I wasn’t expecting it to be as much of an emotional roller coaster as it was. I read the triggers but still wasn’t prepared for the dark turn. Rafferty & Posie stole my heart😭🫶🏽 Rafferty tried so hard to convince himself that he hated her but deep down he loved her with all his heart. The enemies part was great but it was something about when they turned to lovers…
