Fractured Things is the second book in Samantha Lovelock’s Folkestone Sins Series.

After fleeing Folkestone, Stella and Sunday try to forget the horrors they’ve left behind. Whilst Poe and the other Heirs are left living in the aftermath of the events in book one.

Stella is definitely a little more broken in this story, and emotions are well written throughout.

I do like the way the chapters are from both Stella and Poe, with each time Poe’s POV is introduced it takes you back a little on Stella’s previous POV’s. It’s almost like a mini refresher of the chapters read, but also allows for Stella’s story to be told without interruption. I don’t think I’ve really come across this before the Folkestone Sins Series.

Whilst some of the secrets of Folkestone, the Founding Families and the Heirs are starting to surface, we are again left with so much more to be told and even more secrets. But that builds the anticipation for the third book, Ruined Things.

Poe & Stella!! But I needed more!

This was a good story! I liked the first one a little more as I felt this one was a little rushed when it came to tying up Poe and Stella’s story. I just didn’t feel that “bang” that I look forward to when putting all the pieces together. It was just kind of subtle and not anything overly exciting. BUT I did love Poe and Stellas relationship! I’m looking forward to Payne and Sunday’s story but I feel a little incomplete with Poe and Stella! I hope there’s more for them.

When I read this author's mind blowing debut, I knew I had something special on my hands. This is the conclusion of Poe and Stella's story but there's still so much more to come from the Folkstone Sins gang (I hope) I can't say much because this is the second in a duet but it as so full of twists and turns I could hardly keep up. I'm telling you if you like stories like this you HAVE to read this. My mind is blown yet again. No sophomore slump for Ms. Lovelock that's for sure. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
