All the stories were good, though my favourites were:

Noel's and Nimra, it was beautiful and lethal all at the same time. The description mind blowing as always. cute and fun even in the most dangerous scenes. The drama well written.

Angel's Dance was a great read. I loved this one.
Hot chocolate and tea biscuits for this one.
sweet and soulful is this story with romance soaring in the sky
Galen the barbarian and Jessamy the gentle yet strong school teacher.

I WISH these were FULL length novels......

RE-READ in order to read Archangel's Prophecy and Archangel's War.
Also part of Guild Hunter Read-a-Thon.

I read this anthology after I read Archangel's Legion, and realize that I should read it before Legion because I always read in order. But oh well, the stories in this anthology can be read as a stand alone, though. Also I read it in longer time because I got so busy this week *sigh

My earlier review contain my thought about the cover ( I still think Angels Flight have one of the best cover of all Guild Hunter books) and the synopsis for each short story (an old habit of mine. Give away the story not the opinion XD). From all the 4 stories, I liked Angels' Wolf and Angels' Dance the most. It's not that Angels' Pawn and Angels' Judgment bad, its just that two feels like Singh earlier stories, therefore its kinda lack of beautiful charm. Not much of angelic politic, even though the cruelty of the world still there.

As for between Wolf and Dance, I will choose Angels' Dance as the best novella. Re-read make me realize how I forgot so many interesting tidbits about Guild Hunter world. Dance might be a story about courtship between Jessamy and Galen, but its also contain so many information that might come in fruition, especially in Archangel's Enigma. The novella told about the early years when Raphael become Archangels, the youngest angel to ascend (it will make him ofc VERY special, but hey, he's always a main hero. And also son of two archangels. That will make him a prodigy in an angelic world). It give readers tidbit about Alexander, an Ancient that will become a main concern in Archangel's Enigma. The novella also show the friendship between Jessamy and Keir, give insight into the healer that first make his appearance in Archangel's Kiss. Singh also put the scene when Michaela ascend to Archangel, therefore make her as one of Cadre. She didn't make an appearance tho, only whispered among the talk of the angels, but its apparent that the Royal Bitchiness already a black widow from the start. Angels' Dance also show Illium in his adolescence year (if you can think 170-ish year old angel is not mature yet, haha) and his love for his mortal that if you read all Guild Hunter book from the start, you will know how it will end. Surprisingly, there was Aodhan too, before he become a shut-in angel that fear any touch. I still wonder what happen to him to act like that. No Venom and Naasir, because the story told 400 years ago before the event in Angels' Blood.

As for the Galen and Jessamy, I liked them both. Jessamy's condition make her can't fly, an earthbound angel. While she's way, WAY older than Galen by millenia (I'm not kidding. Jessamy is 2600 years old, while Galen is still in his 200 year-ish), she's full of unsure about romantic relationship and I can't blame her for that. I like how Galen, with his brutish and hold-no-barrel attitude, court Jessamy. Despite his though shield, he's also have flaws of his own and also a scarred childhood. I think both Galen and Jessamy complete each other. Also, the way they exchange letter when they are apart is...romantic. I know it can be sappy, but I can always trust Singh to write romantic scenes.

Angels' Flight is the anthology that you must read, not just because one of the novella tell so many information about the Guild Hunter world, but like the full-length novel, it show Nalini Singh at what she write best.

Early Review

I don't know if this one will be translated into Indonesian edition, but of course its a waste if the publisher don't do it. Because we will get a glimpse in Guild Hunter world

My first thought is OMG!! The cover is soooo... beautifuuuuuuul!! And so lovely! Tony Mauro can describe Jessamy so well :).And I love the purple vibe for this cover. This will look great at my bookshelves! >_<

BTW, this is Guild Hunter's novella bundle which contain :

- Angel's Pawn :
My old rating : 3 stars
Read my review here : Angel's Pawn review
My renewed rating : 4 stars

The story is about Ashwini, a Guild Hunter and one of Elena's dear friends, and her frenemy Janvier. Had read it long time ago when its release as E-books. When I re-read this again, I found I love it. We get a glimpse of Nazarach, a cruel and sicko angel that rule Atlanta, under Raphael's command. Ash have a nightmare of her own and she also witch's descendant, which make it worse. Nalini Singh left sh and Janvier's relationship open, but I guess this two are meaning to be together. I can't see they will have a full book, but with a development at Archangel's Blade when Janvier is relocated in New York, a girl can dream =).

- Angel's Judgment :
My rating : 4 stars
Read my review here : Angel's Judgment review

I had read it, because its part of Must Love Hellhound anthology. Tell the story before Sara become Guild Director. Simon, the previous director already old and Raphael decide to replace him. Simon choose Sara Hasiz, while Cadre doubt Sara will make a good director since she is woman. So they start to test her. Simon realize how dangerous Sara's condition was, assign Deacon, the Slayer and boogeyman of Guild Hunter to guard her. Turn he has another assignment too, to hunt a rogue hunter that go kill vampires. Together, Sara and Deacon hunt the culprit while face the test from Cadre. Sara realized how much burden she will bear when she accept the director position.
In this story too we will see the first time Raphael took interest to Elena.

- Angel's Wolf:
My rating :4,5 stars

The story about Noel and Nimra, originally part of Angel of Darkness anthology. Noel is a broken man. A vampire who badly injured at Archangel's Kiss, he no longer feel whole. Noel believe his assignment to Nimra's court at Lousianna is a way to discard him. Because he is broken beyond compare. Turn at Nimra's court, not everything are exactly of what he seen. Someone try to harm Nimra, try to poison her. While Noel begin investigate the suspect, he learn that Nimra maybe not cruel. How can she be cruel if she crying over her pet while angel can't be seems weak? But then any angel fear her, especially Nazarach who maybe his cruelty beyond Raphael himself. What Nimra's hide behind her ability? Can she help Noel to pass the hollownes inside him?

- Angel's Dance :
My rating :5 stars
The novella that not feel like novella. The story about Galen and Jessamy. We already know about their relationship at Archangel's Kiss, even its not explain briefly. The setting took place at the Refuge, 400 years before the event of Angel's Blood. Happen 100 years after Raphael change from being angel to Archangel, and become the youngest Archangel ever ascend. Raphael still develop his teritory and build power. Once day, a weapon master from Titus's court, Galen. That red haired angel, decide to join Raphael after he feel he no longer have position as Titus's first weapon master.

Total Rating : I decided to give it 5 stars!!
Can't do wrong with Nalini Singh :)
