I love books that have space for your own interpretations, and this is definitely one of them.
Everything in this book is wrote brilliantly. You never find out what Charlie or anyone (apart from Sams green eyes and long hair towards the end)look like, I don't know if this is done purposely by the author or if it's part of Charlies Anonymous, but it left so much space for your own imagination.
Charlie to me was a very intelligent boy who obviously (like said) didn't know it. He was so wrapped up wondering about other people, their lives, thoughts and why they did what they did that he never really discovered himself. To me him wondering about other people was a way to never remember about the past. So that's why I can't understand people saying he was 'naive' and 'not so intelligent' Reading books, studying etc does not teach you how to live your life. Charlie had his own way of life, and that was to investigate in other peoples life's, do what pleases them as he thinks that's for the 'best' and forget about his own wants and needs as a means to forget.
I started the book thinking that it was a lovely tale, but discovered it's dark secrets and how morbid it was in ways. The way it was wrote didn't go into much detail about the morbidness and was very subtle making the reader being able to read it without feeling 'depressed'.
For all the reasons above and so much more, this book is one of my all time favorites that I would recommend to anyone who was opened minded enough to read it.
Absolutely beautiful.

Incredibly sad. I hated all of the main character’s friends. Why was no one helping the poor kid?
