I’m continually in awe of LM Montgomery’s ability to create captivating, lovely stories for Anne as she matures from a little girl in braids to a woman almost my own age in this book. With each book, I expect to be let down in some way - as often happens in a series - but it’s the opposite. Anne has such a strong character that never wavers, only blooms with more relatable, endearing facets as she ages. In this book, I particularly enjoyed the aunts as well. I look forward to continuing this series, but going slowly, of course, to prolong running out of new stories to enjoy!

I feel bad rating this book so low when I've really enjoyed the rest of the series. I think this book just seemed a bit of a filler, and didn't actually add much to the story of Anne Shirley. While I still enjoyed some parts, and will continue reading the rest of the series, I think the first 3 books are definitely better
