too many stories of random characters that i didn’t care about. loved anne’s room at windy poplars of course, what would an anne story be without a beautiful setting.
I just love this fourth novel in the Anne series! I love the letters Anne writes to Gilbert and only wish some were included from him to her. I love how she continues to learn and grow as she waits for the chance to marry Gilbert. And I love all the wonderful people she meets during these three years.
It took me a while longer to get through this book than I thought, but that was more because I allowed myself to watch more movies than I should have.
This book is different from some of the other Anne books because it is mostly written in letter form from Anne to Gilbert, and at first I didn't really care for that. In fact, I preferred reading the sections that weren't in letter form. However, as I finished this book, I did shed one tiny tear. I think it was because I somewhat relate to Anne in the closing of one section of her life, and the opening of a new. Also, everything ended so happily, and Anne was just so satisfied with life.

Im not sure i was as fond of this one as the others with the way the story was done this time. The letters threw me off. Not that they were bad, but wasn't loved constantly. Still enjoyed.
